The movie “what the bleep do we know?” inspired the blog i guess..
Have you ever seen yourself through the eyes of someone else that you have become? And looked at yourself through the eyes of the ultimate observer?
The movie looks at what we perceive as real and what is actually real, and how this can explain the events that affect us. Kind of like the secret – if you think positive, positive things will happen to you.
So from this, I chose to stop caring about what others consider normal behaviour, and decided that if I thought something would make me happy then I would do it.
Hence jumping in puddles. Start small I thought so, while wandering to the mobil service station across the road wrapped up in my raincoat and gumboots against the torrential rain, the flooded gutter caught my attention. On the way back from mobil I started walking in the gutter, and as it got deeper and deeper I began jumping and splashing and kicking and really, truly enjoying myself.
Fair to say I was completely soaked head to toe afterward – even my gumboots were full – but it was TOTALLY WORTH IT.
I think happiness is a really simple thing to acquire once you realise that it doesn't come from walking sedately on the side of the road. It comes from doing things that make you feel free. There are so many things that we MUST do in life, and avoiding puddles is not one of them.
Think on this:
